About Bison Healthcare Solutions

I most recently served as CEO of US Acute Care Solutions, the nation's largest physician owned Acute Care Practice, delivering over 11m encounters annually across 500 locations in 27 states.

Prior USACS, I served as CEO of two Centene Health Plans in Oregon and New Mexico, SVP & President of Atrium's South Division, and various leadership positions at Tenet, including CEO of one of their Atlanta hospitals. Before Atlanta, I worked in large integrated healthcare systems in Texas, Southern California and Minnesota.

My experience is unique and valuable. I have led hospitals, health plans and physician practices which span geographies, ownership structures, settings, and challenges--from financial and quality turnarounds to strategic growth as well as improving physician, employee, patient, and member satisfaction.

I am a native of Kansas, earning my undergraduate degree in Journalism & Mass Communications from Kansas State University and my Master in Healthcare Administration from the University of Kansas.

My wife Jodi and I reside in Santa Fe, NM. I enjoy fly-fishing, hiking, skiing, golf, pickleball, tennis and K-State sports.

I also serve as an Advisory Board Member for Cedar and Electronic Care Giver.

I started Bison Healthcare Solutions out of a continued devotion to improving our health care system.

I was raised in a family of physicians, nurses, and executives which provided me with a genuine passion to pursue a career in healthcare. I assumed each role during my 32 years with the same purpose: to ensure high-quality, accessible and affordable healthcare.
